Inspired by his love of wearable art and avant-garde fashion, Bryce Black creates clothing that melds high art and street wear into garments that are also easy to wear.

His garments have appeared on the covers of magazines. Originally from Twin Falls, Idaho, he graduated from Art Institute of Portland and was the first winner of Portland Sewing’s Fashion Forward Program. As the winner, he designed the Fall 2010 line for StudioSKB.

Bryce Black, designer for StudioSKB, contestant on Project Runway, season 9

Inspired by his love of wearable art and avant-garde fashion, Bryce Black creates clothing that melds high art and street wear into garments that are also easy to wear.

He competed on Project Runway, Season 9 and showed his lines of clothing at New York Fashion Week and Portland Fashion Week.  He was a finalist in the 2010 Cool vs Cruel competition sponsored by the American Humane Society.  His garments have appeared on the covers of magazines including Portland Monthly.
