Jennifer Holcomb
With an artisan’s pursuit for craftsmanship and vision for a detail-focused
aesthetic, Jennifer’s self-taught approach to leatherworking has driven her desire to produce fashionable yet functional leather goods. In 2000, she launched a handbag line, JENESSE, and established a business of one-of-a-kind, handmade leather bags. Her business started with commissioned bags for clients. They now are sold at several boutiques. Additionally, she created a line exclusively for a fashion specialty shop, Seaplane. She has also contributed her creativity to local charities, including several collaborations with Portland celebrities for the Girls, Inc.’s event, Power of the Purse. Jennifer has a BFA in apparel design and is currently teaching in the accessory and apparel design program at the Art Institute of Portland.
