Fashion Illustration Intro Series (Levels 1 & 2), Wednesday, April 7-June 25, 6-9 pm

Level 1: Wednesdays, April 9-May 14, 6-9 pm (Sorry, the Level 1 class is underway.  Please click here to register for the Summer class.)

Become a fashion artist & start thinking like one. Learn how to draw the fashion figure as a croquis. Get your fashion designs on paper so you can share your ideas with others. Draw face, hands and feet, hair; front, side and back views. Move the body. Put a garment on it. Create your own style.

Level 2: Wednesdays, May 21-June 25, 6-9 pm

Become a fashion design professional. You will create professional fashion illustrations suitable for a portfolio. Learn to use the latest tools of the fashion illustration trade. Learn to use markers and pens. Add skin tones and shading – giving your form definition and light. Add fabric textures and learn direction and drape. Finally, you will create designs on the figure and learn layout, background and composition. For your final project, you will bring it all together on a display board. Prerequisite: Level 1

Draw ¾ views of the woman's body.  Learn methods for drawing feet.  Draw details in clothing: sleeves, collars, plackets, pleats, ruffles.  The final project is a couture garment. Create a collection suitable for display and your portfolio.  Prerequisite: Level 2

Get the proportions right for a man’s fashion figure. Create a croquis for menswear. Master styles and textures for casual wear, formal wear and outerwear. Learn creative ways to illustrate clothing and accessories, through a variety of media and techniques.  Prerequisite: Level 1
